At Duke University, the “Eco-Olympics” is a dorm vs. dorm sustainability competition that includes a suite of events promoting recycling, energy and water conservation, environmental education and other sustainable practices. Many schools run similar competitions under names such as the “Green Cup” and “Do it in the Dark.”
