Mark Orlowski, Founder and Executive Director, Sustainable Endowments Institute Mark is the Founder and Executive Director of the Sustainable Endowments Institute. He has worked in the campus sustainability field for over two decades and over the years has led a range of programs including SEI’s College Sustainability Report Card, Billion Dollar Green Challenge and GRITS web platform. GRITS is a unique web platform that helps universities and other institutions better track their project-level energy/financial/carbon data and develop comprehensive plans to reach net zero and other resource reduction goals. Mark has had the pleasure of working with hundreds of institutions to help them with the development of internal green revolving funds and other sustainability initiatives. Over the years he’s been invited to speak at more than 125 universities, conferences and other events across the US, as well as in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. He’s a graduate of Berkshire Community College, Williams College and Harvard University. He’s also an Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) Senior Fellow and is an Edmund Hillary Fellow in New Zealand. |

Aaron Karp, GRITS Director, Sustainable Endowments Institute Aaron Karp is the GRITS Director at SEI. He works with the Director of Engineering and Senior Staff Engineer to design and test new features in the platform, train new users, and troubleshoot issues. He has also been a lead author on several SEI publications, including recent green revolving fund (GRF) surveys and an upcoming GRF implementation guide. |
